WHO AM I?
I’m Alllison, a California native and former New York City teacher who gave up a life of stability for the unknown. I travel long-term with few fixed plans, seeking out off the beaten path places. I’m passionate about adventurous travel experiences, local food and drink, ethical and sustainable travel, telling stories that intertwine history and culture, and showing that travel can be accessible and affordable for all.
WHY ETERNAL ARRIVAL?
Eternal Arrival is both literal (as a long-term nomad, I’m always arriving somewhere new) and metaphorical (referring to the journey I’m taking within myself). This blog is a challenge to myself to arrive in every moment: to live in the present, to constantly be refreshed by new surroundings.
“If we are always arriving and departing, it is also true that we are eternally anchored. One’s destination is never a place but rather a new way of looking at things.” – Henry Miller
